Rebuilding Lives: Jigsaw4u's Dedication to Assisting Children and Families

Jigsaw4u helps children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties. Our role is to provide specialist therapeutic, practical and emotional support services to help those we serve to put the pieces back together.

In 2023, the NHS reported that 1 in 5 young people have a probable mental health disorder. With this in mind, it is likely that there are those who were missed and we have seen first-hand the effects of the ongoing mental health crisis for children and families where we work since this estimate was shared. In 2023, we supported 7,399 individuals, whereas in 2024 and 2025, we supported over 10,000 individuals each year.

Our support is available to those living (and studying) within SW London, this includes the Boroughs of Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Wandsworth, Kingston and Richmond. We have three physical locations where we provide our support, including our HQ, a community centre we manage (both in Merton) as well as Jigsaw4u: Kingston, connecting us to more young people who need us in Kingston, Richmond and Wandsworth. Additionally, our team also visit beneficiaries in Schools or other suitable community locations to suit their needs.

We can be commissioned to provide support outside of SW London and have been previously commissioned to carry out our work in Surrey. The difficulties we provide support for include, bereavement, depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, living in and leaving the care system, being a young victim of crime and more. Each of our service-users can access our 'Activities4u' service too, which provides fun and free opportunities, workshops, day, residential trips and more. The idea of the service is to reduce the stigma associated with the difficulties they have experienced, allowing them to meet other young people and families going through similar challenges. Many of our young people arrive to Activities4u events feeling shy, by the end of these events, you can see their confidence grow and new friendships formed. This is self-funded and requires help from our community of supporters to achieve.

As a medium-sized community charity, over 90% of our income goes directly towards our service-delivery, which means that every £1 raised goes further compared to other charities out there.

We are grateful to Banstead and Sutton Nonsuch Rotary Club for their support through their Santa's Sleigh collections and for their openness in collaborating with us through supporting match-funded campaigns supporting Jigsaw4u. This means that the donations from your Club of £939.96 will be doubled to make £1,879.92! This helps us to fund 37 vital one-to-one therapy sessions for our children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Main thing to do to support Jigsaw4u was to tell a friend about us. If you're on social media, we'd love to have you follow us. Additionally, there is an option to subscribe to our email newsletter. You can do so by visiting this link where you can also find our website: https://linktr.ee/jigsaw4u
