A special thank you to everyone who helped and supported yesterday's Village Fair in the Orchard in Banstead.

The Mayor (Councillor Nick Harrison) and his wife Mayoress Pam Harrison amazed everyone by visiting each stall over his three hour visit, guided by our Past President Adore accompanied by her son Jayden. We also welcome our

The weather favoured the event and the set up was very efficient and speedy. The only casualties were John Mitchell's shoes and socks which found a leak in muddy ground outside the Institute. We wish them a speedy recovery!

Stall holders were delighted with the help from our gazebo support and erection team and with great work at the end of the day we were all tidy and cleared away (even the bunting and banner was removed) by 4.30 p.m.

Talking to stallholders, they were very relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere of our Community fair, taking opportunity to catch up with friends from other organisations.

Roger lead organiser greeted the Mayor and expressed profound gratitude to his remarkable team for their efforts in organizing and bringing the community together.

Food was up the the usual standard as the Scouts produced burgers, dogs and bacon rolls through the day; the Show Choir gave us another stirring performance and Gavin's Rock'n Roll Band helped keep feet tapping with their two 45 minute sets.

We hope Omer will recover soon. He was a brilliant car park attendant despite his recent fall last week.

A special thank you to my committee members David Martin and Suzanne who made sure we had an immediate answer to any problems!!

I am pleased to report that Jane's Bric-a-Brac stall raised a healthy amount

We look forward to a repeat performance in 2027.

Thank you again
