Meal A Day talk by Stuart Walker at Banstead Manor

ree

On 30 January the Rotary Club met at our Corporate Rotary partner’s venue, Banstead Manor Hallmark Care Home. We had a delicious buffet supper followed by a thought provoking talk about the charity Meal A Day.

In a world where 22,000 people die each day due to poverty, 50% of the world’s population live on less than $2.50 a day, and 40% live without access to toilets, it’s easy to see there’s a need.

The numbers are staggering , and it’s difficult to comprehend just how big the need is!

Behind all the statistics are people: Brothers, friends, neighbours, mothers.
