Interviewing the Future!

On 10th March, six members and two professional friends interviewed forty-seven students at Epsom and Ewell High School. During each ten-minute interview, we judged the students against ten criteria, including the initial impression given, use of oral English, eye contact, answers of appropriate length, and enthusiasm for their subject or career choice.
The students gave good interviews, and we provided oral and written feedback and advice on interview techniques and how they could strengthen any areas that required development. The students and the school appreciated us providing them with the opportunity to be interviewed by someone unknown to them. Equally, we enjoyed meeting the students, the next generation on whom our future depends.
