As we reflect on David's life, we are thankful for the moments we shared and the impact he had on each of us as we commemorate his passing on his 88th birthday. David will be remembered with great affection and gratitude and our thoughts are very much with Sue and the family at this time.
In memory of David, the family warmly welcomes donations to the Parkinson’s Trust in lieu of flowers. Parkinson’s Trust for David King
David was a respected general solicitor and through his work became connected with Frankie Howard. He brought that same professionalism, generosity, and integrity into his life as a Rotarian. A dedicated and active member of the club, David was always willing to support our activities and contribute wherever he could.
He played a particularly valued role in our annual Christmas collection, gave his time as an interviewer for our mock interviews and chaired the Community and Environmental Committee for many years. His leadership as Club President in 2006–07 was widely admired. In recognition of his outstanding service, David was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2012.

David will also be fondly remembered for his sharp mind and remarkable general knowledge, qualities that made him a much-valued member of any quiz team. Above all, he was one of the kindest and gentlest of gentlemen, and it was a privilege for all of us to have known him.
A truly great Rotarian, David contributed so much to our club and to those around him. He will be greatly missed, but remembered with warmth and gratitude.
