Congratulations to Malcolm for daring to do something so different, which turned out to be tremendous fun for everyone. Our sincere thanks also go to Cllr Zelanie Cooper and Polly for being such great sports and fully embracing the spirit of the evening. It was also a pleasure to also welcome our guests, Nishma a fellow Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Westminster, and her husband Sunil, whose presence added to the wonderful atmosphere of the occasion.
A vibrant and joyful evening, filled with warmth, cheers, and infectious laughter, was enjoyed by all thanks to our guest speaker Lindsey Barrell, from the Women’s Institution. She is indeed a dynamic and captivating speaker with a natural comedic flair. She shared her burlesque journey in a way that was both tasteful and delightfully humorous, keeping the audience thoroughly entertained throughout.
The atmosphere was further enlivened by an enthusiastically dressed-up audience, feather boas, sunglasses, and top hats very much in evidence, which added to the playful spirit and excitement of the night.
Laughter and applause rang out as each moment of entertainment was warmly received. Hear hear!
